Information system and driver mobile app for a transport company

The largest Slovak transport company — a family business, 800+ employees, a fleet of ~450 vehicles

One system for the whole lifecycle of a transport company — from dispatching through telematics to payroll — plus a mobile app that is the driver’s workplace on the road.

Challenge

Dispatching, vehicle operations, finance and payroll ran in separate tools. The company needed one system over shared data, with drivers connected directly via mobile.

Solution

Our team built and keeps developing an enterprise system (~15 modules: dispatching, orders, telematics, fuel, service, finance, payroll) and a native Android app for drivers. Per-diems are calculated automatically from GPS border crossings, refuellings are matched from telematics against invoices.

Results:

• One system instead of separate tools — about 15 modules over shared data
• The mobile app is used by roughly 300 drivers (distributed via Google Play)
• Automatic per-diem calculation from real GPS border crossings
• Integration of 4 telematics platforms and an own GPS server
• Offline-resilient app: assignments, truck navigation, documents from the cab, payslips, 3 languages

One system for the whole company

Instead of a set of separate tools, dispatching, vehicle operations, service, finance and payroll all run over the same data. Dispatchers see a live vehicle map and assign transports, finance works with the same orders, and payroll is derived from real operations — with no re-keying between systems.

Automation that removes admin

Driver per-diems are calculated automatically from GPS border crossings — not by hand from paper. Refuellings from telematics are matched against invoices to reveal discrepancies, and service deadlines are tracked automatically. The mobile app is a single workplace for the driver: accept a transport, navigate with truck routing, send documents from the cab, check a payslip — offline-resilient and in their own language.
