Challenge

EU law requires per-item traceability of explosives, while they are handled in the field — in quarries and mines, often with no signal and zero tolerance for error.

Solution

Our team delivered an Android app for storekeepers on industrial terminals with a scanner. It records every item and package by a unique code and covers warehouse operations from receipt through issue for a blast to stocktaking, integrated with the ERP.

Results:

Safety designed into the app

In a regulated domain with zero tolerance for error, accurate records are not enough — safety rules must be part of the app. That is why the app enforces flight mode during handling and keeps server sync separate from the handling itself.

Works where there is no signal

Handling happens in a quarry or mine with no signal, so the app runs over a local database with background sync. It scans and parses the standardised codes of explosives manufacturers and links documents to the ERP via a central server.
